I decided to try something that I have never done before. Something I didn't even really know you could do. I decided to make some Whoopie Pies. Did you know I didn't even know what a Whoopie Pie was until about a year and a half ago? I know. What?
Well anyway, the other day I saw a pin for it on Pinterest and thought I'd give it a go. In honor of St. Patrick's Day and my favorite flavor combo I decided to go with green peppermint icing.
For my first try I think I did pretty good. In no way do my look nearly as perfect as I know I'm capable of, but I'm happy with it none the less. I also had a little green dipping chocolate laying around so I thought to myself, "Self? What's better than a grasshopper whoopie pie? A grasshopper whoopie pie dipped in green chocolate." And you know what? I'm sure it would have been if the aforementioned whipping chocolate wasn't Key Lime flavored. Whoops :)
Oh! And before I forget, here is the recipe I used. Try it. You won't regret it.
